U23: In affectionate remembrance of FANNY the youngest daughter of George and Elizabeth HARVEY of Thorn, North Bovey, and widow of the late Frederick Willmer, Journalist of Birkenhead, who died at Thorn, North Bovey, April 23rd 1891 aged 34 years. Also of EMMA and LUCY daughters of the above George and Elizabeth HARVEY each aged 6 years.

U27: In memory of ANN BROWNE who died on 9th Nov. 1914 at the age of 101 years and 4 months. This stone was erected by her many friends of the neighbourhood. Also of GEORGE BROWNE her husband who died on 6th June 1873 aged 56 years.

 

U28: Sacred to the memory of WILLIAM BROWNE who departed this life September the 25th 1830 aged 80 years. Also of MARY BROWNE wife of the above who departed this life September the 15th 1835 aged 86 years.

U52: JOHN HILL J.P. Pitt House died 17 May 1892 aged 84. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. In loving memory of SUSAN DUNSFORD wife of John HILL J.P. Pitt House died 20th January 1884 aged 80.

 

U53: Sacred to the memory of THOMAS HATCH who died on the ..... April 1861 in the ....4th year of his age. Also to the memory of his beloved wife ELIZABETH BEARE who was taken from him on the 8th of August 1832 in the awful time of the cholera morbus then raging in the city and her emains interred in the Saints Rest Memorial Ground, Magdalen Road, Exeter. These lines are added by her sorrowing second daughter Sophia Kingsland Jacobs of Newton Abbot.

UA: In memory of thomas and SUSANNA WHITE of this town and of their children FRANCES MARY and WILLIAM whose remains repose in the adjoining burial ground. This tablet is erected by their surviving relatives to mary their affectionate remembrance of the excellence of their character in every relation of life.

UB: This tablet is erected to perpetuate the memory of GEORGEand SUSANNA HARVEY of this town, and of MARYANN their eldest daughter who were all interred in the adjoining chapel ground.

 

UC: In affectionate remembrance of SUSAN DUNSFORD eldest daughter of the late Thomas and Susanna White and wife of John HILL J.P. of this town. Born January 13th 1804 died January 20th 1884. "She hath done what she could". Mark xiv 8. Also of the above JOHN HILL J.P. who died May 17th 1892 aged 84.

 

UD: In affectionate remembrance of GEORGE HARVEY of Thorn, North Bovey, who died February 1st 1909 aged 86 years. Also of ELIZABETH his wife who died January 1st 1888 agd 62 years.

 

UE: In affectionate remembrance of EDWARD BOWRING late of Borohay in this parish who departed this life 10th February 1873 aged 54. And of EMMA his wife who died 13th May 1898 aged 76.

 

UF: In memory of The Revd. JOHN SMETHURST who departed this life June 27th 1859 agd 66; who was 42 years ministre of the congregation worshipping here; and who for nearly the same space of time was also the ministrer of the Unitarian Baptists in this town, during his long pastorate he was deservedly highly respected by all who witnessed his conduct and understood his character; and a large circle of Christian friends treasure the recollection of his talents his labours and his worth, zealous duty, devoting his talents and attainments which were of a high order to the service of the only living and true God, as revealed by the Lord Jesus Christ, he was desirous that after his death his name should be associated in perpetuity with the supporters of Unitarian Christianity in this town and neighbourhood and therefore left the savings of his life to be appropriated to this sacred purpose. Being dead he yet speaketh.
